The contemporary architecture features large panoramic windows focusing on the magnificent alpine world, and offers visitors a cozy place to relax. Sports enthusiasts and especially ambitious hikers will want to explore another new feature: The\u00a0Latemar Hut \/ Rif. Torre di Pisa, at 2,671 meters above sea-level, which has been completely renovated and expanded. Another new attraction in the Eggen Valley is the\u00a0Eggental Mountain Cinema, consisting of six panoramic viewing platforms affording views of the\u00a0UNESCO World Nature Heritage Site of the Dolomites, with benches and picture frames reminiscent of movie theatre screens, found in Deutschnofen \/ Nova Ponente, Obereggen, Steinegg \/ Collepietra, and Welschnofen \/ Nova Levante \u2013 Lake Karer. In Obereggen, the new Mountain Cinema is located along the latemar.panorama thematic trail. The greatest highlights in the Latemarium include the\u00a0“Eye to the Dolomites”\u00a0adventure station established last summer \u2013 here, visitors can actually walk into and around a giant-sized eyeball and learn more about UNESCO. Along the\u00a0latemar.alp\u00a0trail and the path on the history of hay-harvesting and forestry, there’s a life-size wooden horse.<\/p>\n You can reach the Latemarium from Obereggen and Pampeago with the chairlifts and from Predazzo with the cablecar.
